1. Why do we believe the Bible is True?
Have you ever thought without Divine inspiration, who can tell humans heart are evil and what for? Rebuke the devil and sickness how and whose authority? Why would Apostles and believers were willingly die for Jesus and changed lives upside down? and how 1000 years apart accurately prophecy even possible? Let’s find out more.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching , for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (3 Tim 3:16)
By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? (Mat 7:16) We know bad spirit ends up in Fear and miserable life especially from survey and research that when getting old and near their end of their life without Christ, they are worried, complaining and ungrateful about everything.
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Tim 3:1-5)
- The consistency of 1500 years of writing by 40 authors & prophecy fulfilled, yet still all pointing to Jesus and These are not random but supernatural and impossible for Man. Think of Chinese whisper game.
- We have greatest historical proves writings over 5800 Greek manuscripts, unlike all other history figures e.g. Alexander the Great that only has about 50s.
- Transformation & Testimony of Apostles and believers is divine and miraculous. Who would dare to die for it if it was not True? For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Phil 1:21)
- The power of Holy Spirit changed Apostles, (Acts 9:3-20)
- from uneducated to astonished and authoritative teacher (Acts 4:13)
- From a fisher to a man that heals a crippler and demons flee on Peters shadow.
- As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed. (Acts 5:15-16)
2. How did Life begin?
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” (Gen 2:7) With God’s breath and His words, we are made alive, grow in Wisdom, knowledge, powerful and be more like Him.
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall NOT eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Gen 2:17)
To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life” (Gen 3:17) The whole World including our innocent animals are cursed because of us.
In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” (Gen 3:19) Ever since, we human have two knowledge of Good and Evil.
Most importantly, God had not abandoned Adam and Eve and made leather Cloth for them and looked after them. The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them (Gen 3:21).
Without God’s word, commands and spirit, Humans are nothing but Dust, Clay & food for worms. But with God’s words, we are mighty Children of God “to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12)
3. What happen Without God’s word or instructions?
“However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you: You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.17 Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.18 The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.19 You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.20 The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him. 21 The Lord will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. 23 The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron. 24 The Lord will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed” (Deut 28:15-24 Read also verse 25-64)
Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. (Jer 17:5, ) The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? (Jer 17:9) So why should you trust your unreliable and deceitful heart?
Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Mat 10:28)
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me” (Hosea 4:6)
- “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5)
- Some seed fell on the stony ground. That is like a person who hears the message and right away he is glad to hear it. But it does not go down deep in. (Matt 13:5)
- We often traded the seed of life for 30 pieces of silver and die.
- Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live (John 11:25)
- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Heb 11:6)
- So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Rom 10:17)
- We need to meditate day and night on Jesus words, flesh and blood instead of the world and its desire:
- Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. (John 6:53)
- Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God (Matt 19:24)
Imagine, you navigate around Airport without an instructions, update on your phone or signs to show you where to go and reach your destination to the boarding gate on time especially when there are multiple changes from the flight operators. Likewise, lack of knowledge in God’s word is the same as life journey without instructions!
The day we are disconnected from Life/Truth about Jesus, we Die. We are nobody without Jesus but we are everything we need and wanted to be if we have Jesus.
When we read, speak, sing and meditate God’s words, our hearts are Enlightened by the Light, except whose heart has been possessed and blinded by the devil. Therefore, we need to cleanup our heart as Psalm sings “Create in me clean, heart O God, and renew right spirit with in me!” (Ps 51:10) And work hard to cultivate good soil:
Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. 14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. 15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop. (Luke 8:12)
3. How to receive Blessings?
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. (Deu 28:1)
Did you know even Father Abraham lied out of his fear (Gen 26:7) & Peter had hard time understanding Jesus and mumbling saying they didn’t catch any fish the whole night (Luke 5:5). But the Most important thing to follow here is Trust and OBEY God even if you don’t understand or doesn’t make sense and deep things got revealed. “Obedience is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22)
Know that who is God so we can Trust & Obey
We can’t see God or we die (Ex 33:20, John 1:18), so it’s impossible to fully comprehend God that leave us not much room to Trust whom we don’t even see or comprehend. Therefore, He had chosen to comedown in human flesh from His titles are;
“Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father price of Peace” (Isa 9:6)
Jews couldn’t accept Jesus when He said before Abraham “I AM” (John 8:58) which they fully understood whom He claimed to be, that is their God/YHWH (Ex 3:14) and the punishment was to put to death so they try to stone him right away for Blasphemy according to the Law (Lev 24:16).
Apostle John also confirmed this “He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him (John 1:8)
Likewise, Apostle Paul confirms:
- For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him (Col 1:16).
- Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. (Phil 2:6-7).
- Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness (1 Tim 3:16)
- Lastly but not the least, Thomas doubting on Jesus until he touch Him and realised and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:25-28).
He is the God we Trust, who loves us to death! His name is Jesus!
This is what Jesus said:
- I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6)
- Jesus said “I’m the Vine. You can’t do anything apart from me” (John 15:5)
- This flesh profit nothing, the Words I speak to you are Spirit and they are Life. (John 6:63)
- Do you not know?Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom (Isa 40:28)
- No one speaking by the Spirit of God curses Jesus, and no one can truly declare “Jesus is Lord” except by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:3).
- I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me (Isa 45:5)
The Truth is, if we have Jesus, we have everything, If we don’t have Jesus, we have Nothing.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10):
- Our Money can’t buy happiness – It’s the Truth that gives peace and joy!
- Kids success & Life – It’s the Truth that build human lives up, else you spoil them!
- Wife/Husband – It’s the truth that builds family on Trust & Love!
- Everything else without Jesus ends with pride & evil even while we are still alive on earth! Do you envy the world success ending like Britney Spear, Katty Perry & Kanye West etc and powerful people like Epstein etc.
God reveals a bit of Himself for us, just like we feed only small food to babies what is enough for baby’s mouth. It would be inappropriate and arrogance for our football size head to think that we can fully comprehend all the Truth about Jesus and His Divinity but we will know Him fully when we meet Him as it is written: “For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known” (1 Cor 13:12)
- “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isa 55:8-9)
- “As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things” (Ecc 11:5)
- “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand” (Job 38:4)
- “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me” (John 14:1)
- “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.” (Matt 10:29)
What is written in the Bible is enough for our Salvation and Trust in Jesus, nothing more, Nothing Less. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12)
5. How can we be like Jesus and go with Him where He is?
The Lord expects Empty heart and be filled with His Words and Holy Spirit:
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (Matt 5:8) When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” (John 1:47)
Nicodemus curious to know more about the Kingdom of God and the Lord told him:
“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again. (John 3:3-7) I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man (John 3:12-13)
- That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Rom 10:9)
- For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. (Eph 2:8-9)
- His commands is “First find His Kingdom and righteousness, then all things shall be added” (Matt 6:33)
- Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Rom 12:2)
- Let your righteousness surpass Pharisee and teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt 5:20)
- And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell (Matt 18:9)
- And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment (Mark 12:30)
- “Unless you become like Be like little children, you shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt 18:3)
- Clean your hands and heart, for without holiness no one will see God (Heb 12;14-16)
- Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? (Heb 12:7)
- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Rom 8:18)
- Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice (Phil 4:4)
- But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil (Heb 5:14)
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matt 19:23-26)
Finally, Choose to Love each one another as He has love us while He is way preparing a place for us and not with us Physically:
- “Whoever says ‘I know him’ but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him” (1 John 2:4)
- Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him”(1 John 3:15)
- And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.(1 Cor 13:13)
- A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)
- And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am (John 14:3)
6. How to remembering His Commands & Go forward?
When you meet together, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, as you praise the Lord with all your heart. speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns. (Eph: 5:19)
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. Deu (6:6-9)
- This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. (Jos 1:8)
- Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. (Ps 1:1-2)
- Better store your treasure in heaven where moths and vermin don’t eat (Matt 6:19)
- Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matt 28:19-20)
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?(Matt 16:26) For richness is not measured with Gold or Money but peace, Joy, courage and Love for the great Call of the Lord’s Mission. “Better store your treasure in heaven where moths and vermin don’t eat” (Matt 6:19)
