INTRODUCTION TO CREATION:

In beginning God created Heavens and Earth (Gen 1:1). And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Gen 1:3). And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Gen 1:4).

We don’t need a prove from man, but some of our greatest scientists carefully observed and concluded God created the Universe may help some of us as below:

  • Isaac Newton (1643–1727): Formulated the laws of motion and universal gravitation. Newton studied the Bible extensively and saw science as “thinking God’s thoughts after Him.”
  • Johannes Kepler (1571–1630): Discovered the laws of planetary motion. He viewed astronomy as revealing God’s geometric design of the universe and prayed, “My Lord and my Creator! I would like to proclaim the magnificence of your works.”
  • Galileo Galilei (1564–1644): Supported heliocentrism and wrote that the universe’s mathematical order pointed to a divine architect.
  • Robert Boyle (1627–1691): Pioneered modern chemistry and gas laws (Boyle’s Law). A devout Christian, he funded lectures defending Christianity and saw nature as God’s creation.
  • Michael Faraday (1791–1867): Discovered electromagnetic induction. A devout Sandemanian Christian, he saw the laws of nature as evidence of God’s consistent power.
  • James Clerk Maxwell (1831–1879): Formulated the classical theory of electromagnetic radiation. He was a committed Christian who believed the universe’s order reflected divine intelligence.
  • Louis Pasteur (1822–1895): Founder of microbiology and germ theory. He opposed spontaneous generation and affirmed God’s role in creation.
  • Other notables from this era include Nicolaus Copernicus, Gregor Mendel (founder of genetics, an Augustinian friar), and Lord Kelvin (thermodynamics).

Some of our prominent 20th and 21st century scientists have also believed God’s creation such as:

  • Francis Collins (born 1950): Led the Human Genome Project and later directed the U.S. National Institutes of Health. A former atheist who became an evangelical Christian, he argues in The Language of God that the universe’s fine-tuning, the moral law, and the elegance of DNA point to a Creator. He accepts theistic evolution (God using evolutionary processes) and sees science as “glimpsing God’s mind.”
  • John Polkinghorne (1930–2021): Theoretical physicist and professor at Cambridge who resigned to become an Anglican priest. He explored how quantum mechanics, cosmology, and fine-tuning suggest a “Mind and Purpose” behind the universe, writing extensively on science-theology compatibility.
  • Charles Townes (1915–2015): Nobel laureate for the maser/laser. He stated that the beauty of nature is “obviously God-made” and that intelligence was involved in the universe’s laws.
  • Arthur Compton (1892–1962): Nobel Prize for the Compton effect in quantum physics. He affirmed belief in God as Creator.
  • Max Planck (1858–1947): Founder of quantum theory. He viewed God as present in the laws of nature and rejected atheism.

As Psalm 139:14 says, our great, complex and intricate body organs revealed His Amazing creation, but we human ruined everything because of disobedience to His Holy commands and the whole World has been cursed, chaos and are in groaning pain including our kind animals like dogs (Rom 8:22), yet He is kind enough to prepare a way back to greatness through humbling Himself as flesh and died for us to pay for our sins on the Cross so we may live again like Him (Phil 2:6-8).

We have plenty of historical evidence that Jesus walks on the earth, has supernatural power to cash-out demons, heal the sick, and performed plenty of miracles including raising the dead that was buried for 4 days, died and rose again and most importantly, the followers lives changed upside down, and willing to die for what they know till today. This proves God is still at work for humanity.

Let’s closely study what happened during the Fall, what had been lost and what can be restored?
Before the fall, The bible tells us that man had great privilege and powers such as:

  • Were created good and was made in the image of God (Gen 1:26-27)
  • Direct fellowship with God, No fear, shame, pain or sorrow and Immortality was possible with the Tree of Life but there was also Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil (Gen 2:9).
  • Adam had extra ordinary power and was able to name all animals (Gen 2:19)
  • No needed to toil for their food (3:17)
  • No death, decay or disease and enjoyed their innocent life (Gen 2:16-17, 3:8)

After the fall on man, God took away the Tree of life, to avoid human living forever in the fallen state (Gen 3:22) but God cared for man’s need, shadowing Salvation (Gen 3:21).

  • Gen 2:17: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
  • Gen 3:17 says “To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life”

Then what does this knowledge of good & evil means?

  • Tree of Life is out of equation, but we incubate the knowledge of good & evil fighting in your heart like a virus continually.
  • The evil cling unto man and grow in the heart and will never leave unless the heart is replaced (Eze 36:26)
  • We shall surely be killed by the evil, when grown up and never meet our glory and purpose designed by God.
  • Thus, both knowledges of good and evil are real in all of us heart & mind as below:
Knowledge of GoodKnowledge of EvilMemorize
I need to trust in God for anything happened to meSometime, I see no reason as I can live and I can look after myself anyway so I don’t need to trust God or anyone else“Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?”
