  1. Created and Designed in the Image of God
    1. Gen 1:27 – “God created man in His own image… male and female He created them.”
    2. Ps 82:6 – “You are gods… and all of you are children of the Most High.”
    3. Psalm 139:14,16 – “I am Fearfully and wonderfully made… Your eyes saw my substance.”
    4. Jer 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”
    5. Eph 2:10  For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do
    6. Eph 4:24 – “Put on the new man… created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness”
    7. Micah 6:8 – “You mortal… Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God.”
  2. God Words are life but disbelieve is rebellion and deathly

  3. The Ten Commandments
    • Exo 20:1–20:
    • 2I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
    • “You shall have no other gods before me.
    • “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
    • “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
    • “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God.     • 18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance 19 and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”
    • 20 Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”
    • Matt 5:17 – “I did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill.”
    • Matt 5:8 – Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
  4. We are to rely on God’s word, Not our Heart
    1. Gen 6:5–6 – “Every intent of human heart was only evil continually. The LORD regretted that he had made human on earth”
    2. Rom 1:24 they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him..their hearts were darkened and futile.
    3. Ps 51:5 – I was sinful at birth, from the time my mother conceive me.
    4. Rom 3:11-12 – No one is righteous, understand or seek God. All turned away.
    5. Gal 5:19–21 – Acts of flesh are sexual immorality, impurity…idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, jealousy, selfish, murders, drunkenness…those who practice such will not inherit the kingdom of God.
    6. Pro 4:23 – Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it
    7. Pro 13:20 – Walks with wise and be wise. Companion of fools suffers harm.
    8. Rom 8:13 – If you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
    9. Pro 29:1 – He who hardens his neck after many rebuke will be destroyed without remedy.
    10. James 4:7 – Submit to God… resist the devil and he will flee from you.
    11. Jer 8:9 – The wise will be put to shame, because they have rejected the word of the Lord.
    12. Jer 17:5 – Cursed is the man who trusts in man strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.
    13. Jer 17:7 – Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.
    14. Jer 17:9 – The heart is deceitful above all things.
    15. 1 Sam 16:7 – Man looks appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.
    16. Eze 18:30 – Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.”
    1. Mark 1:15 -The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!
    2. Matt 6:24 – No one can serve two masters…You cannot serve both God and money.
  5. God’s loves means His incarnation, His name is Jesus
    1. Isa 9:6 – To us a child is born, he will be called…Mighty God, Everlasting Father.
    2. John 1:1,11 – The Word was God. He came to His own, but His own did not receive Him.
    3. 1 Tim 3:16 – Mystery from which true godliness spring is great: He manifested in the flesh.
    4. John 20:26–28 – Then He said to Thomas, put your finger and see…Thomas said “My Lord and my God!”
    5. John 8:58 – Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!
    6. Phil 2:6–8 – Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God…rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
    7. Col 1:15–16 – The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers…
    8. John 3:16 – God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not parish but have eternal life.
    9. John 10:30 – Jesus declares, “I and My Father are one.”
    10. Heb 1:3 – The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven
    11. Ps 23:1 – The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing.
    12. John 10:11 – I am the good shepherd
    13. John 6:35 – I am the bread of life.
    14. Acts 4:12 – there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved
    15. Rev 1:8 – I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come the Almighty.
    16. Rev 22:13 – Jesus declares, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End
  6. God came to find the lost
    1. Luke 19:10 – the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost
    2. John 10:10 – Thief come to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life abundantly
    3. 1 Sam 15:22 – “To obey is better than sacrifice.”
    4. John 1:12 – yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
    5. 1 John 3:1 – See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
    6. John 10:34–35 Is it not written in your Law “ I have said you are gods”
    7. Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
    8. Lam 3:23  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
  7. Salvation is by Grace
    1. John 6:53 “Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood… you have no life in you.”
    2. John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
    3. Matt 18:3 Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven
    4. Rom 4:3 “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness
    5. Eph 2:8–9  it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast
    6. Gal 2:16  we have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
    7. Rom 3:21–24 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
    8. Col 2:16–17 let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, religious festival, or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
    9. Heb 11:1 Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
    10. Rom 10:17 Faith comes by hearing the word of God
    11. Rom 6:23  the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
    12. Exo 12:23 When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway
    13. Eph 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
    14. Ps 27:13-14 – I’d lost heart, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
    15. Rom 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
    16. Matt 22:37-38 Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest.
  8. Sealed by the power of the Holy Spirit
    1. Gal 3:11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.
    2. Rom 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved
    3. 1 Cor 12:3 no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit
    4. Gal 5:22–23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 
    5. Acts 1:8  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
    6. 1 John 4:15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
    7. 1 John 4:18-19- There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
    8. 1 Cor 13:4-5  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
    9. Act 5:15-16 – at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them… bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.
    10. Rom 8:1  Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
    11. Eph 4:23-29  to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
    12. 1 Pet 1:16 for it is written “Be holy, because I am holy.”
    13. 1 Thess 5:19 Do not quench the spirit.
    14. 1 Thess 5:22 Abstain from every form of evil.
    15. Phil 4:8 – whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things
    16. Matt 5:14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden
    17. Phil 3:21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
    18. Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
  9. Growing and Becoming New Creation
    1. Heb 12:11 No discipline is pleasant at the time, but produces righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
    2. Rom 6:2-4 Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?…
    3. 1 Pet 2:2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation
    4. Matt 13:19–23
    5. Heb 10:24–25-  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 
    6. Rom 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
    7. 2 Cor 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
    8. Gal 5:16 – So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
    9. James 1:19 – My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry
    10. James 3:17 – But the wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
  10. Spiritual Battle
    1. 2 The 2:3 – Don’t be fooled… that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God…”
    2. Eph 6:11 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
    3. Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
    4. 2 Cor 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
    5. Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
    6. 1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
    7. Phil 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
    8. Eph 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
    9. 2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
    10. Isa 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
    11. 1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
    12. Rom 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
    1. Matt 10:29–31 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 
    2. James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
    3. Rom 12:19 – Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord
    4. Matt 5:3– But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also
    5. Matt 6:14 – For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you
    6. Matt 10:19 – “It will be given… what you should speak.”
    7. Rom 8:31 – If God is for us, who can be against us?
    8. Matt 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
  11. Thankful in Everything
    1. Josh 1:8 – God’s Law be on your mouth…meditate them day and night and make you prosperous.
    2. Matt 6:33 Seek first the Kingdom of God and all things shall be added to you.
    3. Ps 37:4 –  Delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
    4. 2 Cor 5:1 we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
    5. Luke 20:36 and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.
    1. 1 Thess 5:16–19 – “Rejoice always… give thanks.”
    1. Phil 2:2 – make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
    2. Eph 5:16–19  making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
  12. Called for Mission
    1. Ps 46:10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
    2. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
    1. Ecc 4:9–10 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor
    1. Gal 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
    2. 2 Tim 1:9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time
    1. Matt 6:19–20 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven
